Aurora has dropped the prices of tickets to China from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk quite well: right now you can get tickets to Beijing for July-October for 7,500 rubles one way or for 15,300 both ways.
Flights there in summer on Tuesdays and Sundays (back on Wednesdays and Sundays), in autumn there on Tuesdays, back on Wednesdays. You need a visa to visit China (you know that), but you don’t need a visa to transit for 24, 72 or 144 hours through Beijing.
